Miracle Survivor of the Pakistan Floods
On 7th August 2010, the devastating Pakistan flood came to several districts in Sindh, especially the District Kashmore. Tori bund’s breach has a long lasting effect in upper Sindh, where the scale and intensity of the devastation is well-known.
Miraculously, Musmat Salma - aged about 105 years old - survived alone, for eight days and nights, in flood water near her house in Sindh, which was five kilometers from the water's breach to her boundary wall at Tori Bund.

to Press Club Khairpur.

journalist actively participated in rally.
International Womens Day - 2011
Theme: “Equal access to education, training & science &
technology pathway to decent work for women”.On this day, SDTS held a peaceful demonstration and
candle vigil walk wearing white ribbon for the unity of all
women on this day.
During this event the large number of social activists, teachers, politicians, laywers, human rights activists, volunteers, women, girls.
Ongoing Support for Survivors of the Pakistan Floods
In
recent months, major achievements of
Sewa Development Trust Sindh (SDTS) have been
focused on the recovery and rehabilitation of the 2010 flood
survivors, particularly targeting groups who are most vulnerable
- women and children - and in the worst-affected areas.
SDTS provided emergency and relief support to 21,000 flood-affected families and Internally Displaced People (IDP) through provision of shelter, hygiene kits, water supply, sanitation, food and non-food items.
